About Me

We all have a story to tell and here is a little bit about mine...
I was born in Vancouver, B.C., grew up in Windsor-Essex County, ON and wound up creating my adult life in Montreal, QC. I am the youngest of two girls and am a deeply feeling/highly sensitive person. My mother worked as a nurse and my father owned his own small business so it feels as though I have merged the two; creating my own business helping others. I believe in human connection being the most vital part of this life; we are all interconnected and need each other but we have to start our healing from within and heal relationally as well. We did not choose the challenging moments and traumas we have lived, but we have a responsibility to grow and heal from them.
I’ve personally struggled with people pleasing, perfectionism, and performance anxiety (which started in my figure skating years). I’ve experienced maladaptive self-soothing behaviours, difficult family dynamics (having a parent with a substance use problem), and experienced different types of grief. I experienced the sudden loss of a parent (my father in 2013), and anticipatory grief with an ill loved one (my mother's Alzheimer's disease since 2021). Over the last 10 years, I've worked immensely on emotional regulation and nervous system rehabilitation (since experiencing major loss and becoming a mother of two amazing little girls), in order to show up as my true self (not my trauma responses) in all my life's relationships.
I am learning more and more in my personal inner work and my work with clients that we all have multiple layers of joys and sorrows from our life's experiences, but that we have the capacity to hold it all; the light and the dark... and as humans, we are wired for healing through connection.
So, I believe, through the process of reconnection to the self, as we tend to loose and forget and fall into the ego mind, we come back (over and over) and return to our true nature and essence. We reconnect inward with ourselves, with others, with a sense of community and this is what will help us to heal, grow and thrive in ways that are unimaginable.
As Mary Oliver said, "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
