I am a social worker (MSW), psychotherapist and I am a trained mindfulness meditation group facilitator.

Within my practice, through individual sessions, group programs and retreats, I guide adults to find the path to more calm, ease and peace in their lives. This is done through a combination of modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to treat trauma and challenging life situations, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms, and Mind/Body Integration to assist the nervous system to return to safety.

It is of utmost importance to me to create a safe space for my clients to feel heard and witnessed. In my groups, I create a dynamic for people to connect with others in feeling less alone while learning lifelong skills.

I worked in the public sector as a social worker and psychotherapist for 17 years in mental health services and I have now moved into private practice, focusing on the modalities I have found to be most effective and the ones I am most passionate about.

My own life challenges and inner work in the last 10 years, has led me on my own journey of  learning and studying trauma, healing and the mind/body connection through various modalities, and is the work that I now share with others!

Join me for private sessions, a MBCT group program or a retreat for a space to heal, grow and reconnect to yourself and others.

FAQs

01

Can I come alone?

You can or you can bring a friend, sibling, partner who is also interested in this type of session. There will be other like-minded people attending.

02

Do I need to know how to meditate?

No! This session can be an introduction to you or if you have experience already, it is a refresher. People come to my services with all sorts of life experiences and some experience with mindfulness, meditation, yoga or none. All are welcome.

03

Do I need experience with therapy?

No, you don't. This may be a first time doing any inner work and that is ok. Or you may have tried other types of modalities and been drawn to try out mindfulness.

04

What should I bring?

Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a water bottle, and dress in layers as our body temperature can drop when meditating. You can bring a notepad and pen to take notes.
