Hi, I'm Natalie,

I am a social worker (MSW), psychotherapist and I am a trained mindfulness meditation group facilitator. 

 

Within my practice, through individual sessions, group programs and retreats, I guide adults to find the path to more calm, ease and peace in their lives. This is done through a combination of modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to treat trauma and challenging life situations, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms, and Mind/Body Integration to assist the nervous system to return to safety.  

 

It is of utmost importance to me to create a safe space for my clients to feel heard and witnessed. In my groups, I create a dynamic for people to connect with others in feeling less alone while learning lifelong skills. 

 

I worked in the public sector as a social worker and psychotherapist for 17 years in mental health services and I have now moved into private practice, focusing on the modalities I have found to be most effective and the ones I am most passionate about. â€‹â€‹

 

​My own life challenges and inner work in the past 10 years has led me on my own personal journey of learning and studying trauma, healing of the mind/body connection through various modalities, and is the work that I now share with others.

MBCT Online Group Program

8 wk online program (1.5 hrs/week) learning meditation and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) exercises to help reduce anxiety and depression symptoms and to connect with others.

Half-Day and Full day Mindfulness Retreats

Half-day (3 hours) and full day (5 hours) retreats learning about mindfulness meditations, mind/body integration through yoga practices (gentle movements) to calm the nervous system and find peace within.

Individual Psychotherapy Sessions

60 mins in-person or virtual psychotherapy sessions using modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness Meditation, and Somatic Approaches.
